Frequently Asked Questions

Is life coaching therapy or counselling?

Life coaching is not therapy or counselling. It's about working with a specific problem, situation or goal that you have, and helping you to address and achieve - getting you to where you want to be. Coaching helps you to find ideas and options that will work for you to achieve the outcome. It is similar to mentoring, and it can work alongside therapy or counselling or after these are completed.

How long should I invest in a life coach?

As long as you want to. I would recommend completing the initial 5 sessions and then consider if you want to continue or not. You may want to work on a number of goals and continue with the coaching and support, or you may feel in a good place to apply the skills you have learned to other goals.  It is recommended to have a break after 6 months of coaching but you can resume again if you would like to.

Do you have any reoccurring themes you see in your clients?

I would say the main one is negative thinking and over thinking. Changing your mindset can change everything. I have many CBT tools to share that can help overcome negative thinking patterns. I have used these with several clients and myself!
